I always said that life is bright,
But today it shifts, a different light.
I do not know why thoughts have changed,
Why joy feels near, yet out of range.
I feel like a butterfly in the sky,
With tender wings that long to fly.
Your presence paints my soul with cheer,
A fleeting warmth I hold so dear.
But fragile knots can break apart,
And shadows press against the heart.
I thought they were my wings of gold,
But feathers lost, too weak to hold.
If I’m a rainbow, bold and true,
I’d color the heavens just for you.
And if you’re stone, steadfast and still,
I’d bow to your strength, with endless will.
If fairytales could weave my days,
I’d write you in with endless praise.
And if you walk a path so real,
I’d shape my love to match your zeal.
Through fears and doubts that cloud my view,
I’d rise again, just to be with you.
If ever I cross a line in vain,
I’d beg forgiveness, ease your pain.
If eyes could speak, then let mine say,
They’ll only find your gaze, and stay.
I don’t want loss, nor hearts apart,
I cannot bear a broken heart.
So tell me,is there a chance,
For us to share this sacred dance?
With feelings pure, with souls aligned,
Two hearts as one, forever entwined.
